About US Gyansthali Public School, Mahoba

Welcome to GPS

At the top of the School Emblem is the Lamp which represents the Divine light which guides us all through our lives. We pass on this light to our students who in turn will be the light of the world. The Cross is the universal symbol of salvation used by Christians. The two hands represent the hands of Christ, our divine master, and that of St. Francis, our patron saint. When God and man work in unison, the child will attain optimum development. The book in the emblem represents the Sacred Scriptures-sources of all wisdom and knowledge. The lotus is our National flower. Our motto is "Lighted For Life". We pass on the divine light we received to the little ones entrusted to our care hoping that they in turn will dispel darkness whenever they go. St. Francis School is a Christian minority school under the management of the Franciscan Clarist Sisters, a national Religious congregation. Opened in 1985, the school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

These philanthropists with their magnificence took a determinated & radical step to create this institution to cater to the needs of this region.
